MGM Original U.S. Three-Sheet Poster (41x81) Folded Good Condition
MGM Original U.S. Three Sheet poster for the Norman Z. McLeod film SWINGSHIFT MAISIE (1943) starring Ann Sotherns as Maisie. Sothern had been rather a glamour girl in the 1930s, but in the war years, nobody brought pluck to the big screen better than she did. Frequently the underdog, her charm, with and basic decency resonated cheerfully with audiences. And MGM responded by making several film highlighting the character. The movie also starred James Craig, Edward Hearn, Rose Hobart and John Qualen. This poster was used in a theater and can only be graded in good condition. However it's potential is great. Notice that in the lower right hand corner we see a small cartoon drawing of Maisie in overalls. Her shirt underneath reads "victory." We recommend linen-backing for the poster. It would look great! Ask us about conservation services Three sheets are large format posters comprised of two separate panels which are joined to present as one poster. This poster is large, so make sure you have room for it. MovieArt Austin guarantees that this poster is an authentic U.S. three sheet poster for this film. MovieArt Austin will sell no reproductions.
