American International Original U.S. 40x60 Poster for the Roger Corman directed horror film TALES OF TERROR (1962.) Corman went diving into the stories of Edgar Allen Poe here, creating an anthology film in Panavision and Technicolor. The film stars three amazing veterans of the horror genre, Vincent Price, Basil Rathbone and Peter Lorre. This was the fourth picture in a series of eight movies for which used the works of Poe. The movie is a trilogy of three tales, based on four short stories, "Morella", "The Black Cat" and "The Cask of Amontillado", and "The Facts In the Case of M. Valdemar." The film's reception from critics was not great, but horror fans will find the movie entertaining enough. The poster offers three portraits of the principals. This poster was used in a theater, and the condition is just that - used. The upper right corner in the border area is missing. One-sheets and smaller posters on this title have been plentiful, but we know of only two 40x60s which have been auctioned in the U.S. We believe that we have priced this poster appropriately.
