THE UNDEAD (1957) Original Movie Poster

Original American International Pictures 40x60 Poster for the Roger Corman horror fantasy, THE UNDEAD (1957) starring Pamela Duncan, Richard Garland, and Allison Hayes. Filmed in six days, the story chronicles a beautiful woman who is sent back in time via hypnosis to the Middle Ages where she finds she is suspected of being a witch and slated for execution. The film was based on the book, The Search for Bridey Murphy by Morey Bernstein. This book inspired an entire "reincarnation" craze, including popular songs, a dance, a cocktail, and a handful of movies. This original 40x60 poster had been mounted to a stiff card stock paper, and then it was rolled vertically and stored. It was unwieldy in this condition, and so we had the poster completely remounted to linen. There were some small tears and other issues with this very rare 40x60, but we know now that this restoration was entirely successful. Presents beautifully.
