Original Universal Pictures U.S. One-Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Alfred Hitchcock directed cold-war mystery THE TORN CURTAIN (1966). The film stars Paul Newman and Julie Andrews. Newman plays an American nuclear scientist who pretends to defect to East Germany in order to trick a communist scientist into revealing a missile formula. Andrews plays Newman's bewildered and abandoned fiance. This film is superbly acted, beautifully filmed with great music, dialogue, and plot. The taut escape adventure from East Germany is quite memorable. This original one-sheet is in very good plus condition, due to some large writing on the reverse side of the poster. This writing is visible quite faintly from the front of the poster
