Description
Independent International Pictures / Kroger Babb Original U.S. One-Sheet Poster (28x42) Release of 1977
Original U.S. One-Sheet Poster (this one-sheet is 28x42, please note) for an very unusual adaptation of Harriet Beecher Stowe's "Uncle Tom's Cabin." The film was shot in 70mm and there were both 70mm and 35mm release prints. This poster is likely from a 70mm release as it advertises "stereophonic sound." The film was a German - French - Italian co-production, shot in Yugoslavia and directed by the Hungarian director Geza Von Radvanyi. It starred Herbert Lom, John Fitzmiller, Olive Moorefield, O.W. Fischer and Micaela May (as Little Eva.) It was released in 1965, but did not get a U.S. distribution until 1969, when it was picked up by the exploitation distributor Kroger Babb Productions. Babb made a "new film" from old footage and new footage which juiced up the sex a bit. The poster we offer here is from that release. MovieArt guarantees that this poster is an authentic poster from the U.S. release of 1969. Condition is average used. MovieArt Original Film Posters in Austin, Texas does not sell reproductions.
