Wallace Beery was a big star at MGM during the Golden Age Of Hollywood. Beery began a career on the New York Stage as early as 1907. He made of 250 films during his lifetime. In 1931, he won an Oscar for his performance of a washed-up boxer in THE CHAMP with Jackie Cooper. Reading the summary of his career on wikipedia is a stunning overview of a hugely vast career.
