Original Three-Sheet Poster (41x81) 1965 Re-release Folded Fine Plus Condition

Paramount PIctures Original U.S. Three Sheet Poster for the Richard Quine directed film THE WORLD OF SUZIE WONG (1960) starring William Holden and Nancy Kwan. The poster dates from Paramount's re-release of the film in 1965. The story follows the progress of a romance between an American expat and a young prostitute in Hong Kong. The screenplay was written by John Patrick and it was based upon a play by Paul Osborn, which in turn was based upon a novel of the same name by Richard Mason. One can't help thinking that perhaps the path for this film was prepared by the somewhat more wholesome LOVE IS A MANY SPLENDORED THING (1955). Yet these movies are quite different. Nancy Kwan assumed a role that was intended for France Nuyen, who was replaced. This is the romantic Holden at the top of his game. Three sheets are large format posters that are printed on two separate panels which are joined together to present as one poster. This poster was never joined together and exists as two separate panels, both of which are in very good plus to fine condition. MovieArt Austin guarantees that this poster is a vintage, authentic three-sheet poster for the first release of this film. Should be considered in average used condition. MovieArt
