Columbia Pictures Original Three Sheet Poster (41x81) Folded Very Good Condition

Original Columbia Pictures Three-Sheet Poster for the whimsical film ZOTZ, directed by the orchestrator of the whimsical, William Castle. Castle was the prince of gimmicks, whether it was some kind of special glasses or a chair that vibrated, he wanted to bring in the audiences with a primitive version of "interactive." This comic film, kind of a science-fantasy film, was based on a novel of the same name by Walter Karig. A professor discovers that an amulet sent to his niece found by her boyfriend, who is working on a archaeological dig, has magical powers. While wearing the amulet, a person can cause pain or discomfort in another merely by pointing at the person and saying ZOTS! The novel was written in 1947 and has overtones of politics. Both the capitalist and communist governments are lusting after this amulet to weaponize it. One of the more peculiar film in Castles canon, the film starred Tom Poston. Poston had a long and varied career in television, but not as much in feature films. This is a pecular, even charming film which is supported by an interesting cast including Fred Clark, Louis Nye, Julia Meade, Mike Mazurki and last but not least, Groucho Marx' old foil Margaret Dumont. This three sheet is theater used and shows some signs of general use. Three sheets are oversized posters comprised of two separate panels. The two panels are joined together to display as one poster. This poster has been stored folded and the top and bottom section are already glued together. MovieArt Austin guarantees that this poster is an authentic three-sheet for this movie. MovieArt Austin will sell NO reproductions.
