Original Republic Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the George Blair crime comedy, ALIAS THE CHAMP (1949) starring Robert Rockwell, Barbra Fuller, Audrey Long, and George Wagner. This film tells the story of New York gangsters who try to muscle in on the California wrestling scene, but they come up against a wrestler who won't knuckle under. So, they frame him for murder. This was the only feature film appearance of "Gorgeous George" Wagner, whose flair made his one of the first superstars of television. This original one sheet poster is folded, theater-used, but still in very fine condition for its age. The colors are vivid, and the paper is supple and not brittle.
