Babes On Broadway (1941) Original Movie Poster

MGM Original U.S. Three-Sheet Poster for the Busby Berkeley musical BABES ON BROADWAY (1941). The film stars Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney. Additional cast members include Fay Bainter, Virginia Weidler Ray McDonald, Richard Quine, Donald Meek, and Alexander Woollcott. The film is perhaps the most ebullient of the movies which paired Garland and Rooney. Mickey Rooney was a top MGM player at the time, and Garland was on her way to becoming the same. Three-sheet posters for this title are beyond scarce. When we got this poster it was backed with kraft paper. Our restorer meticulously removed the backing, cleaned the poster and linen-backed it. There was of course touch-up to the poster, but fortunately little missing paper. Busby Berkeley brought the verve that his Warner Bros musicals of the thirties to this movie, and it is quite charming. MovieArt Original Film Posters in Austin, Texas guarantees this poster to be authentic.
