Original United Artists Six Sheet Poster (81x81) for the Sidney Lumet romantic drama, THE FUGITIVE KIND (1960) starring Marlon Brando, Anna Magnani, and Joanne Woodward. Adapted by Tennessee Williams from his play "Orpheus Descending," this is the story of drifter Val Xavier (Brando) who starts an affair with an older woman, Lady Torrance (Magnani). With handsome magnetism, Brando seductively mixes his characterÕs predatory arrogance with flashes of sweet tenderness. Williams could always write compelling dialogue about themes that seem shocking for the time. The themes explored in this film include ruined love, weakness, sex, betrayal, vengeance, and seething hatreds. This original six sheet poster is folded and in very good condition, with tears along the fold line and a missing chip in the bottom border.
