Original Set of 8 British Front of House Cards (8x10) for the Richard Thorpe literary epic, IVANHOE (1952) starring Robert Taylor, Elizabeth Taylor, Joan Fontaine, and George Sanders. This successful epic was one of the top four moneymakers of 1952, grossing over $6.2 million. It was filmed on location in Great Britain with a mixed cast of American and British actors. Robert Taylor was handsome and chivalrous in the title role, while Elizabeth Taylor and Joan Fontaine provided glamour and grace. George Sanders is outstanding as the villainous Norman knight Bois Gilbert. The film was nominated for three Academy Awards including Best Picture.
