Original RKO One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the John Brahm film noir, THE LOCKET (1946) starring Laraine Day, Brian Aherne, Robert Mitchum, and Gene Raymond. This is the story of Nancy (Day) who seems like an ideal bride for John (Raymond). But John meets a man who claims to be Nancy's former husband and warns John that she is a kleptomaniac and habitual liar. This intricately constructed film is centered around the "locket" -- signifying both repressed memories and the opening up of those hidden memories. By setting most of the film in flashback, Director Brahm places most of the action in an imaginatively reconstructed past, dream-like past. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very fine plus condition.
