Original Yugoslavian Poster (20x28) for the Stanley Kubrick war drama, PATHS OF GLORY (1957) starring Kirk Douglas, Ralph Meeker, and Adolphe Menjou. This excellent film deals with the futility of war in the trenches in World War I when a unit commander in the French army (Douglas) must contend with both the mutiny of his men and the impossible decisions of glory-seeking generals. The French army considered the film an affront to their honor and prohibited exhibition in France until 1975. At only 29-years-old, Kubrick immediately established himself as a brilliant director, whether you consider the film to be one of the greatest war movies or one of the greatest anti-war movies. This original Yugoslavian poster is in very good condition.
