Original 20th Century-Fox One Sheet Poster (27x41) for Henry Koster's THE ROBE (1953) starring Richard Burton, Jean Simmons, Victor Mature, Michael Rennie, Dean Jagger, Jay Robinson, Torin Thatcher and Richard Boone. This epic tale of the crucifixion of Christ and the healing power of faith was originally advertised as "The first motion picture in CinemaScope--the modern miracle you see without glasses!" Thanks to Philip Dunne's literate script and some impressive musical scoring and production values, this Biblical epic told a persuasive tale of multiple individuals -- gladiators, slaves and centurions -- caught up in the infamous reign of the psychotic Roman emperor, Caligula. This one sheet poster for the film's 1963 re-release is in very fine condition. There are some pinholes. Colors are bright and unfaded.
