Original Universal Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Francis Ford Coppola teen drama, RUBLE FISH (1983) starring Matt Dillon, Mickey Rourke, Diane Lane, Dennis Hopper, Nicholas Cage, and Laurence Fishburne. Based on the popular novel by S. E. Hinton, the story revolves around Rusty James (Dillon), a young and not so smart leader of a small-time gang. Rusty James lives in the shadow of his older brother, the Motorcycle Boy (Rourke), who disappeared but has now mysteriously returned. The acting performances of Dillon and Rourke are truly remarkable and memorable; indeed, all of the performances are of break out quality for Lane, Cage, and Fishburne. The black and white cinematography is hypnotic and complimented perfectly by Stewart CoplandÌ¢åÛåªs Golden Globe nominated score. The bleak setting of Tulsa only reinforces the filmÌ¢åÛåªs major themes of isolation and helplessness. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very fine plus condition.
