This is an original 20th Century-Fox One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Martin Ritt suspenseful western melodrama, HOMBRE (1967) starring Paul Newman, Fredric March, and Richard Boone. This brutal western is certainly one of Newman's best performances playing a white man raised by Apaches. When his real father dies and leaves him a boarding house, he decides to sell it and winds up accompanying the former residents of the boarding house on a stagecoach journey to Bisbee. Newman portrays a quintessential stoic who speaks laconically in clipped sentences in a solemn and monotonous voice. The story deals with racial bias, hypocrisy, greed, nobility, and resignation. Superbly written and acted, HOMBRE is considered by many to be one of the best westerns ever made. The poster is folded, has a couple of fold separations, nothing large, and a small amount of paper tape on the reverse side. Colors are vivid.
