This film is the biography of Australian swimming sensation Annette Kellerman, who overcame childhood polio to achieve fame as a professional swimmer and film star in the early decades of the 20th century. She is also known for creating a scandal in 1902 by introducing a one-piece bathing suit at a public beach. Although the usual over-the-top swimming choreography was subdued in this film, Williams still broke her neck diving off a 50-foot tower wearing a golden swimming costume. She spent six months in a body cast before recovering to complete the film. This original three sheet poster is in fine plus to very fine condition, slightly worn along some folds.
