As robots go, perhaps Tobor - ROBOT spelled backwards (get it?) - was not as tricked-out as Robby The Robot, but he has a certain je nais se quoi that other robots can only hope to aspire to. There is a primitive appeal here that is undeniable. Nevermind that Tobor was designed by special effects guru Robert Kinoshita who would go on to design Robby for FORBIDDEN PLANET and also the B9 environmental control robot in LOST IN SPACE. The U.S. poster for this film has been seen at auction several times, but his is the first time we have seen the U.K. poster. The poster had some wear and slight missing paper in the border.
