Original Polish Poster (27x38) for the Jerzy Kaszubowski war drama, SHADOWS (1988) [Original Polish Title: CIENIE] starring Zygmunt Bielawski, Jerzy Binczycki, Mieczyslaw Janowski. Tens of thousands of blonde, blue-eyed Polish children were taken from their parents and given to German families during World War II. In this film, eight-year-old Jerzy returns home at the end of the war to a joyful reunion of his long-lost mother and grandfather. But he is taunted by his peers, resents his new communist stepfather, and longs for his missing father. With artwork by Andrzej Pagowski, this original Polish poster is unfolded and in very fine condition.
